This is an extremely high quality set comparable to sets produced by Christofle, Puiforcat or Odiot. The classic pattern makes it very easy to add additional pieces. It is even more stunning than can be reflected by the photographs. The set is in excellent condition, and is offered at an extraordinarily low price. It is very good value for money. Each piece contains the French governments Head of the Minerva-1 Hallmark, signifying a minimum of 950 sterling, along with the hallmark of the Silversmith "GD". I haven't been able to find details of the manufacturer's hallmark, but this apparently is common since during the 19th century many private silversmiths didn't register their individual hallmarks, especially if they worked for one of the large houses. The Set Includes (all weights and measure approximate):
